Marillion eWeb Newsletter : Warming Up
Well, here we are again - back in the 'writing submarine' at The Racket Club. We've started working on new material... mostly going through some ideas left over from the writing sessions of 'Marbles' at this stage, but moving forward nonetheless!
As we mentioned in our last eWeb, Los Trios Marillion will be headed across the pond in June for some acoustic shows (more details will be on the website soon, we promise!). We have decided that we better play some of this in front of an audience before traveling 2000 miles - and so will be doing a warm-up acoustic show. Now, this show will only be for Web UK members - it's on 7th June (not TOO far from home!) and tickets will go on sale in early May; but the full details will only be provided to Web UK members in the upcoming magazine and soon on the Web UK members' website: www.theweb-uk.com
But (or And?) don't forget we're ALSO going to be playing a warm-up show for our festival dates later this summer. This festival warm-up show will be on 30th June at the Aylesbury Civic Centre. Tickets for this are available to everyone, and will go on sale next Tuesday at www.marillion.com/tickets - there will be a limited number of tickets available, so get in quickly!
Finally, Pete Trewavas with his new side project Kino will be performing a special one-off UK show this Friday, 22nd April, at the Mean Fiddler in London (next to the Astoria). There are still tickets available to buy on the door, or online at www.seetickets.com
As you can see, spring is warming up nicely. Keep an eye on the touring section at www.marillion.com/tour as we're always adding new tour/festival dates for this summer... Until then, back to work!
