This album was originally released on LP, 12" Picture disc, and cassette.

'Assassing' through 'Emerald Lies' recorded 19 & 20 June 1984, Montreal Spectrum.

'Forgotten Sons' through 'Market Square Heroes' recorded 5 March 1984, Leicester De Montfort Hall.

In 2005, a vinyl replica version of this album was released in Japan on CD, in a miniaturised version of the original LP packaging. This issue also contains 2 extra live tracks: 'Charting the Single' and 'Margaret' from the 1983 'Garden Party' single, ('Fugazi' and 'Script for a Jester's Tear' are mistakenly printed on the label of the physical CD, and do not appear as audio.)
