Hello Everyone,
It's almost the end of November - how did that happen? Yes, we're still writing a new Marillion album.. but no, it's not coming out anytime soon….
We know our updates may be frustrating to you all, but because of various unexpected setbacks this year we are, in creative terms, still at the early stages. Having said that, things are progressing well and there’s a good atmosphere in the studio. Pete T is now in better shape than the rest of us put together!
Unfortunately, writing of the new album will suffer another long break at the beginning of 2025 as we rehearse, prepare for, and perform our many Marillion weekends. Realistically it will be the end of next summer before we can resume the writing process all together. In the meantime, Producer Mike will be applying his musical brain to what we have recorded so far and we’re confident there’ll be much to get our teeth into when we resume.
In the meantime, we have a couple of things that might interest you that we have released recently - firstly the final concert film from the 2023 Port Zelande Marillion Weekend.

And secondly - our new Deluxe Edition of This Strange Engine. This release includes a new remix of the album by Michael Hunter, b-sides and bonus tracks and a live recording of the band's 1997 performance in Grand Rapids. The CD / Blu-ray edition also contains hi-res and surround mixes of the album, jam sessions, a documentary and a live in Utrecht "bootleg" concert video.
As above, full details are available at www.marillion.com/shop
Apart from Steve H playing his traditional Xmas shows (www.marillion.com/tour), we will be in the studio until then.
2025 sees EIGHT Marillion Weekends. A few remaining tickets can be found via www.marillionweekend.com
Stay warm!
h, Ian, Mark, Pete and Steve
